Police appeal for information following assault at McDonalds in Leamington

POLICE officers continuing to investigate an unprovoked assault in Leamington would like to speak to a man they believe may have information.

The victim – a man in his 50s – was waiting in McDonalds on The Parade at around 10pm on Saturday January 14, when he is reported to have been approached by two men who began verbally abusing him.

Shortly afterwards, one of the men is then understood to have assaulted the victim – causing him head injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The two men then left in an unknown direction.

Enquiries are currently continuing but officers are keen for anyone who recognises the man, or the man himself to come forward.

Police are also appealing for anyone else who was in the area at the time to get in touch.

Anyone with information should contact the force or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 348 of 14 January.
