Police fine man who travelled to Kenilworth to hunt Pokemon

POLICE have fined a man whose reason for travelling was to ‘hunt Pokemon’.

Officers stopped the man who had travelled between Bedworth and Kenilworth.

On Facebook a team member posted: “Travelling from Bedworth to Kenilworth in the late evening to “Pokemon Hunt” is not particularly local and it definitely isn’t essential.”

Local police say they will ‘engage and explain where they can’ but will enforce ‘blatant breaches’ of lockdown rules.

Yesterday Home Secretary Priti Patel warned there would be tighter enforcement as covid cases peak across the UK.

In Warwickshire, cases are continuing to rise with 2,390 cases in 100,000 – an increase of 10.3 per cent on the previous week.
