POLICE have launched an investigation after an alleged theft from a patient’s locker at Leamington Hospital.

Reports were made of money going missing from a locker at the Central England Rehabilitation Unit (CERU) – where patients are treated for brain injuries. Many can stay for months or even years while they recover.

The alleged incident took place on Wednesday (June 21).

A woman is due to be interviewed under caution by police later this week.

South Warwickshire Foundation Trust – which runs the hospital – say they are unable to comment due to the ongoing investigation.
