Proposals for war memorial in Long Itchington

PLANS have been submitted for a war memorial in Long Itchington.

The parish council has applied to have a memorial built to honour the 49 local men who gave their lives during the First and Second World Wars.

If given the green light by Stratford District Council, it would be built on the village green opposite the pond and would comprise of three stone columns featuring falling leaves to symbolise the fallen soldiers.
