TALENTED youngsters have been causing a buzz at a spelling bee competition.
Myton School pupils Emma Dodd and Ana-Maria Crastoiu made it through to the national final of the Modern Languages spelling competition at Cambridge University.
Facing off against 28,000 other youngsters, the 12-year-old girls both opted to speak and spell in Spanish.
And their skills must have impressed judges, as they both were in the top 100 and Emma finished fourth overall in the Spanish category.
She said: “I wasn’t expecting to get through because the standard was so high. But somehow I did.
“It was a great day and I learned a lot.”
