REMEMBRANCE Sunday saw parades and services held across the district in memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Residents joined servicemen and women past and present, together with civic dignitaries, to honour those who lost their lives in the service of their country, from the First World War battlefields in France to the on-going war in Ukraine.
Further tribute will paid tomorrow (Monday) with further services and a two minute silence at 11am to mark Armistice Day – when the guns fell silent at the end of the First World War.
