AN ELDERLY woman was assaulted inside a Warwick church before robbers stole collection money.
A man went into St Mary’s Church in Old Square where he hit the woman, who is in her 80s. He then took the collection money and made off on a pushbike.
The robbery took place at around 2.30pm on Friday (July 28).
The man was wearing a green and orange top, a baseball cap and grey trousers.
