A CHARITY supporting victims of sexual abuse has thanked Warwick hairdressers for their support.
Safeline, based in the town, has seen an increase in the number of people using its services in recent years due to high-profile cases such as Jimmy Saville and abuse in football.
And to support the charity’s growing workload, hairdressers from Hair Management on Brook Street spent the day talking to customers about Safeline – raising £250 in donations.
Safeline chief executive Neil Henderson said: “Safeline received a donation which will go towards providing free, specialist counselling for local survivors of sexual abuse.
“This is a wonderful example of the local community working together to help support local people in need.
“This type of support is invaluable to a charity like ours.”
