Santa arrives by motorbike at CERU

CHRISTMAS has come early and on motorbikes to the Central England Rehabilitation Unit (CERU).

The Northamptonshire-based Cobblers Biker Group picked the unit as their chosen charity after a member received treatment there following a crash.

The bikers took to the road to deliver presents to patients at the Leamington-based unit.

Founder Lisa Matthewman said: “In December last year one of our members was involved in a very bad crash and was a patient at the unit.

“He received fantastic care at CERU which made it an obvious choice for us when deciding where to do our Christmas present run this year. The specialist care that they provide is amazing and so I am really pleased that we are able to give something back.”

And unit manager Sue Bleasdale has thanked the group for visiting them over the festive season.

She said: “This was a lovely idea and we are really grateful to the group for choosing us as their chosen charity.

“Our patients can spend up to six months in the unit after a brain injury so activities like this really can make a huge difference to them.”
