Santas ready to dash for The Myton Hospices

Leamington Editorial 27th Nov, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

SANTAS and reindeer are preparing to dash through Warwick’s St Nicholas’ Park for Myton Hospice.

Runners, walkers and joggers – complete with Santa suits and reindeer antlers – will complete a 5km route starting at the hospice’s Warwick headquarters down the road at 9am on Sunday December 13.

Those taking part can enjoy festive entertainment along the way, including live music, refreshments and a visit from Frozen characters Anna and Elsa.

Registration is £10 for adults, including a Santa suit, and £5 for children, who will be given reindeer antlers to wear. Well behaved dogs are also welcome.

Rachel Stinton, who has signed up to this year’s Santa Dash said: “Myself and my daughters will be taking part in the dash in memory of my parents, who sadly died of cancer at a young age.

“Myton really supported us when we were looking after them at home. We chose the Santa Dash as a way of raising money for the hospice because my parents wanted the grandchildren to remember them in a positive and happy way. Because the Santa Dash is such a fun event we thought it would be the perfect way of doing so.”
