Scout leader supporting new pupils

A SCOUT leader has been helping new pupils find their feet at Trinity School.

Charlie Thompson is the newly appointed head of transfer and transition. The Leamington school decided to recruit for the non-teaching position to ensure the smoothest move possible into secondary school life for pupils.

Head Chris Gabbett revealed they had never known a transition to go better and added the scout leader was a natural fit for the school.

Since he started at the school, Charlie has organised a number of fundraising events including a Macmillan Coffee morning and a sleepover in the sports hall in aid of Leamington Night Shelter.

Charlie said: “I feel very honoured to have been offered this role. Trinity is unlike any other school I’ve known. Its community feel and nurturing ethos create a compassionate and caring atmosphere where respect between staff and students runs deeper than I realised was possible. It’s a truly heart-warming and rewarding school to work in.”
