Shakespeare's spookiest plays are staged at the Birthplace

LIVE performances from some of Shakespeare’s spookiest plays have been staged in the gardens of Shakespeare’s Birthplace.

The team from Events From History were in the gardens every day during half-term performing plays from Shakespeare’s First Folio.

Visitors witnessed performances of some of the most gruesome Shakespeare scenes, from Macbeth and Hamlet to Richard III and Julius Caesar as well as some of the lesser-known plays, including Cymbeline and many more.

Shakespeare Birthplace Trust spokesperson Rachael North said: “We are delighted to welcome back the team from Events From History for the October half-term. Following their remarkable and memorable performances in the summer, we cannot wait for our visitors to be re-immersed in the spine-chilling retelling of some of Shakespeare’s most loved plays found in the First Folio.”

Performances run every 20 minutes from 10am to 4pm until Sunday (November 5).
