AN ALLEGED shoplifter has been charged with stealing over £100 worth of items from shops in Leamington.
Gareth Heywood, 55, of Burbury Close, was arrested and charged with four counts related to shoplifting following reports of a series of thefts throughout September.
Three of the charges are for theft from a shop, and the fourth is for attempted theft from a shop.
Over the course of September, just over £100 worth of items was reportedly taken from three different stores in Leamington.
There was also an alleged attempt to take a copy of a popular trivia-based board game without payment, which was reportedly stopped when the individual was questioned by an employee on the way out.
Heywood will appear in Coventry Magistrates Court on October 24.
