Southam College sees new £2.3million sports hall built

SOUTHAM College will welcome back its students with a new £2.3million sports hall.

It is part of a wider project which will also see changing rooms, reception area, two new classrooms and a store room built. The building will also come with cricket nets and basketball hoops.

The development includes a new parking area with bus bay and electric vehicle charging point.

The school is home to some 1,600 students, but out of hours the facility will be available for community use by local sports clubs.

It has been built by modular construction company Darwin Group.

Managing director Charles Pierce said: “This exciting development will support thousands of students in the Warwickshire area for years to come and we wish Southam College and all of its sports students a fantastic academic term ahead.”
