A MAJOR fire around the size of two football pitches spread across land in Kenilworth due to strong winds.
Firefighters were called to Rouncil Lane at around 4pm on Tuesday (May 1) where grass was alight.
A nearby house and two sheds were under threat from the flames, which spread quickly.
Crews had to call for backup and it took around an hour to bring the blaze under control.
