SWIMMERS in the district are being urged to cross the English Channel for charity.
Newbold Comyn and St Nicholas Park leisure centres, as well as Abbey Fields Swimming Pool, which are operated by Everyone Active in partnership with Warwick District Council, are encouraging people to support spinal cord injury charity, Aspire, by signing up to its Channel Swim Challenge.
Participants will have 12 weeks to swim a total of 22 miles, the distance of the English Channel, in their local pool. All money raised will support Aspire to continue helping those with spinal cord injuries to live independent and fulfilled lives.
The challenge runs until December 3.
