CORONAVIRUS has put paid to the annual Shakespeare Birthday Celebration planned for this weekend.
But to mark the 456th anniversary of the Bard’s birth today the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust (SBT) has taken a look back at the celebrations, from their origins in the Shakespeare Jubilee held in 1789 through to this year’s virtual celebrations.
