The Leamington Singers celebrate their second anniversary

THE LEAMINGTON singers marked their two year anniversary with a packed programme of summer events.

They gave an informal concert at their home base of St Nicholas Church in Radford Semele for 100 friends and family members. The programme featured a wide variety of styles of music from old and new pop songs to musicals and folk songs.

After the music everyone enjoyed strawberries and prosecco.

Musical director Mike Horth led the choir through another all-day summer workshop on Saturday July 27 in the church with over 40 people taking part.

This year Mike chose a medley of songs by 1960s American group, The Mamas and The Papas.

Choir members enjoyed refreshments, including homemade cakes, during the day, and at lunchtime were able to picnic in the church grounds.

The Leamington Singers are also looking for new members of all ages and abilities.

There are no auditions and prospective members just need to have a love of singing.
