Time capsule buried at Leamington care home

A TIME capsule was buried in the garden of a Leamington care home as part of a huge revamp project.

Staff and residents at Cherry Tree Lodge care home were joined by helpers from Jaguar Land Rover for the day to begin work on a garden revamp.

This included painting fences and benches and installing new garden furniture.

The project is part of the home’s wider ‘Big Garden Project’ and also saw the burying of a time capsule put together by residents, team members and relatives.

The Wellbeing Lead at Cherry Tree Lodge, Monique, said: “I absolutely enjoyed organising this event from start to finish. It was a lovely day and went exactly to plan. The team at Jaguar Land Rover were amazing.

“The time capsule ceremony was special and it was lovely to have residents, their families, staff and Jaguar Land Rover all contribute to a future piece of history for the capsule. As appreciation for the efforts of everyone involved, Scott, the home manager, presented each member of the Jaguar Land Rover team with a certificate to show our gratitude for the extraordinary effort they put in.”

Once the garden is complete, the home is hoping to organise a grand launch party for residents and family.
