Virtual carol concert to be held by Kenilworth Lions

A VIRTUAL carol concert is to be held by Kenilworth Lions on Saturday (December 19).

Due to coronavirus restrictions the organisation has been forced to hold its Christmas carol concert online, with people able to stream it free on YouTube.

It has been produced by Kenilworth Lions members and will be accompanied by the Salvation Army band, local schoolchildren, readings and performances of the Christmas story and has been made with the help of a professional choirmaster and video producer.

The carols will be sung by some 50 singers from local choirs and singing groups.

A Lions spokesman said: “Kenilworth Lions are grateful for the financial support and encouragement of the Town Council, the Rotary Club of Kenilworth and Kenilworth Round Table in helping to make this free event possible. We all believe, after such a dreadful year, that it will be a great way of drawing the local community together at the start of this Christmas season.”
