YOUNGSTERS at a Warwick Brownie group are cracking open bottles of pop after receiving a £200 donation.

The 1st Warwick Gates Brownies received the donation from housebuilder Redrow Midlands as part of its Community Fund initiative.

The Brownie pack will use to cash to continue providing their fun and educational activities to girls aged seven to ten.

Alongside 1st Warwick Gates Brownies, six other charities benefited from the pot of funding – which saw a total of £5,000 donated across the area – including The Friendship Project, which is a Warwickshire-wide charity supporting young carers.

Elaine Cartwright, Sales Director for Redrow Midlands, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to donate funds to these incredible causes in the Midlands, including the 1st Warwick Gates Brownies.

“All six groups, provide vital services to the area and we are delighted to have been able to support them. The 1st Warwick Gates Brownies is an important part of the local community, and we were delighted to be able to support their mission of enabling young girls to have fun and learn new skills in a safe and exciting environment, helping continue this thriving community.”
