Where to catch James May and Oz Clarke on their singing cycling tour across south Warwickshire

POP-UP performances with TV legends James May and Oz Clarke have been announced as the celebrity duo front a three-day Charity Bike Challenge.

The pair are joining the singing cyclists of Warwick-based music charity Armonico Consort to raise funds for vital community singing projects in the region between September 10 and September 12.

They’ll be bursting into song in cafes and pubs around south Warwickshire on their musical fundraising mission.

Look out for them at The Black Pug in Warwick, Cobbs Farm Shop in Stratford, Touchdown Cafe in Wellesbourne, The Mason’s Arms in Long Marston, The Bell in Alderminster, Boston Tea Party in Leamington and The Station House in Kenilworth.

They’ll also perform live in three concerts in Stratford on September 10, Moreton Morrell on September 11 and Warwick on September 12 alongside special guest choirs.

Both celebrities have musical roots. James May started as a choirboy at Whiston Parish Church, Rotherham, later studying music at Lancaster University, and learned both the flute and piano.

Meanwhile, Oz Clarke was a chorister, and a professional singer in the West End before venturing into wine.

Along the route, the 15-strong team will also visit schools, care homes, and singing groups for people living with dementia and their carers.

Every penny raised will support Armonico Consort’s vital community outreach work – from choirs for children and young people, music programmes for children with Special Educational Needs and community singing groups for people living with dementia and their carers.
