A TRAINEE woodworker from Leamington College is carving a name for himself.
Furniture crafts student Matt Brown is one of two finalist shortlisted for a ‘trainee of the year’ by the British Woodworking Federation (BWF).
The award recognises the talent, projects and processes of woodworkers.
And it is not the first time Matt’s skills have been recognised as he was chosen to create a bench for the grounds of Kenilworth Castle.
Course leader Jamie Ward said: “We’re absolutely delighted that Matt has received this recognition from the BWF. He is an excellent student, going above and beyond in so many ways and thoroughly deserves to be a finalist.”
The winner will be announced on November 24.
