Work of 'exceptional' Warwickshire charities recognised

Leamington Editorial 18th Apr, 2018   0

COMMUNITY projects have been recognised for their dedicated work across Warwickshire.

The High Sheriff of Warwickshire Mark Davies awarded ten charities including The Shakespeare Hospice, Lifespace Trust, Safeline and LWS Night Shelter at an event held at his Admington Hall home.

Each group was awarded a certificate and a £500 cheque to help them continue their work, thanks to funds from the Heart of England Community Foundation which has awarded over £185,000 to Warwickshire-based projects in the last year.

Mr Davies said: “It has given me great joy to be able to recognise these brilliant organisations.

“They are able to produce fantastic results within their community and the work they put in to achieve this is exceptional.”
