WORK is taking place in Jephson Gardens to remove a tree sculpture and re-landscape the area.
Warwick District Council’s Green Space team is currently working to remove the sculpture – which was installed six years ago and has now attracted the larvae of lesser staghorn beetles.
The beetles and their larvae will be relocated to a nearby nature reserve.
The area will be re-landscaped with plants and a low fence installed.
Council climate change spokesman Coun Alan Rhead said: “This is a further example of the amazing work of our Green Space team and contractors Idverde in managing the long-term care of this beautiful park, which really is the jewel in the crown of Leamington.”
