YOUNGSTERS are invited to get their hands dirty at a real archaeological dig this summer.
Workshops held by Heritage and Culture Warwickshire (HCW) at St John’s Museum in Warwick will allow children to embark on their own mini dig.
Pupils will use real historical maps to plan the dig and uncover real and replica archaeological finds, before uncovering the history behind them.
Meanwhile fearless infants in Warwickshire will be going on a bear hunt.
Youngsters will be hot on the trail of Warwickshire’s mascot as they investigate their surroundings in Warwick’s Priory Park for clues. Children will then be invited to study their evidence from the nature trail through a microscope.
