Steve Carpenter 19th Sep, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016

IT WAS a perfect start to the new National League campaign for Warwick in their first year at this level after they recorded back-to-back wins at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge pool at the weekend.

Warwick opened with a narrow 14-13 victory over Watford Saxons on Saturday in Division Five, with Scott Haystead and Ashley Keen both scoring four goals each.

The following day Warwick were in action again and this time it proved to be a more comfortable victory against Spalding as they ran out 17-9 winners.

Both Haystead and Keen were the top scorers again with the former scoring six times while his team mate found the back of the net four times again.

Warwick are next in action on the weekend of October 22-23 in Marlborough where they come up against Dunfermline’s Caledonia Storm, Tyldesley and Leeds.
