FOOTBALL: LEAMINGTON have confirmed striker Courtney Baker-Richardson has agreed to remain at the Phillips 66 Community Stadium for the forthcoming season.
The young striker made an immediate impact on Paul Holleran’s side since joining from Kettering Town towards the end of the 2015/16 season.
Baker-Richardson made 55 appearances and scored 20 goals, none more important than a spectacular extra time winner in the play off final against Hitchin Town.
Brakes boss Holleran was delighted to have captured the forward’s signature and said a deal was reached after Baker-Richardson returned from holiday.
He said: “Courtney is fully committed to what we are doing here.
“He realises that we have helped him improve immensely over the 18 months that he has been at the club.
“We feel that he is only going to get better, and Leamington is the best place for him to do this.
“I’m very pleased to have tied down one of our key players from last season’s promotion and cup winning squad, and I am sure that Courtney is looking forward to testing himself in the National League North.”
