HORSERACING: WARWICK Racecourse has been given a boost ahead of its next feature raceday after leading online bookmaker Betway agreed to sponsor the feature race at the Gentlemen’s and Kingmaker Chase Day next month.
Betway has agreed a deal to sponsor the Grade 2 Betway Kingmaker Novices’ Chase on February 11 – continuing the firm’s investment in the sport.
Andre Klein, General Manager at Warwick Racecourse, said: “The Kingmaker Novice Chase is a fantastic race and has been won by some of very classy horses (Long Run and Finian’s Rainbow are previous winners).
“The likes of Long Run, Flagship Uberalles and Voy Por Ustedes are amongst recent winners who used the Kingmaker as a stepping stone to even greater success.
“To have Betway on-board as a sponsor is seriously terrific news for Warwick and we look forward enormously to helping them achieve their objectives.”
Anthony Werkman, marketing and operations director at Betway, added: “Betway took a significant step in becoming an Authorised Betting Partner in 2016 and that status now affords us the opportunity to invest further in British racing.
“We look forward to building relationships with new racecourses going forward, while also bringing our customers great offers.”
