TICKETS for the third successive Champion of Champions snooker event in Coventry have gone on sale this week.

Ronnie O’Sullivan will be aiming to defend his Ricoh Arena crown once again later this year after winning the two previous events.

Once again, the five-time world champion will be joining the game’s other top players including Neil Robertson, Mark Selby and Judd Trump, to grace the green baize in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall at snooker’s newest showpiece event.

“This will be the third Champion of Champions and it has quickly established itself as a firm favourite on the snooker tournament.” said Liz Cooper, marketing director at the Ricoh.

“Spectators are really close to the table in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall and the atmosphere is fantastic especially as we reach the latter stages of the Champion of Champions.”

Current champions of snooker’s major tournaments including reigning number one Mark Selby, 2011 UK Championship winner Judd Trump, 2010 World Champion Neil Robertson and 2014 World Open winner Shaun Murphy as well as Ronnie O’Sullivan will be eligible to compete for the top prize of £100,000.

The tournament will start with a quartet of four-man groups, with the winner of each group progressing to the semi-finals.

The final will be staged on November 15 over 19 frames while the tournament will also receive extensive coverage on ITV4.

Cooper added: “We have been lucky to witness one of the game’s greatest ever players in action by watching Ronnie O’Sullivan being crowned the winner for the first two years of the competition.

“But I am sure his rivals will be determined to lift the trophy and £100,000 first prize at the Ricoh Arena.

“It is great that champions from the last 12 months of tournaments as well as those who are high in the player rankings will be invited to compete once again and this is a great opportunity to showcase the sport in the Midlands.”

Tickets for the event which takes place from November 10-15 are on sale priced from £10 a session, £20 for a day ticket and £60 for a weekend ticket plus transaction fee. There are also premium and VIP tickets available. theticketfactory.com
