IT IS set to be a quiet few weeks for Brakes fans after an announcement by the Football Association confirmed all non-league fixtures are to be postponed until Friday April 3.
Monday’s statement delivers a blow to ardent lovers of all things non-league football, after the precautions taken to stem the spread of the coronavirus outbreak entered its next stage.
While a handful of fixtures in the National League North went ahead last weekend, Leamington’s home game against Kidderminster Harriers failed to receive the green light and was therefore called off after consultation between both teams.
As a result of the announcement, home fixtures against Bradford Park Avenue and Boston United, in addition to trips to Brackley Town and Darlington, have now been postponed.
Should the suspension be lifted at the aforementioned date, Leamington’s next match will be away to Curzon Ashton on Saturday April 4.
