JASON Jakeman took six wickets as Leamington CC claimed a seven-wicket victory against Worfield while Harrison Smith hit an unbeaten century.
Jakeman starred with the ball and helped bowl Worfield out for 169 in 47.4 overs at Davenport Park.
And opener Smith finished on exactly 100 not out with the bat as Leamington reached the required target in 36.1 overs with seven wickets in hand.
The result means Leamington sit third in the Birmingham Premier League Premier Division Two table.
Worfield won the toss and elected to bat only for Tom Warner (2-33) to remove both of the home side’s openers as he trapped Harris Ajaz (1) LBW and accounted for Aman Hussain (28).
Harry Thompson (1-45) then removed Basit Zaman (11) before Jakeman (6-43) claimed his first scalp with the wicket of Ross Aucott (26).
And Jakeman quickly removed Arthur Smallman (4) to leave Worfield in trouble on 74-5.
Jakeman also accounted for Joe Arnold (18), Shahrukh Khan (1), Ravan Chahal (33) and Rohel Peters (40) to bowl Worfield out for 169.
In reply, Leamington opener Smith (100 not out) remained at the crease throughout the away side’s innings.
Smith hit 13 boundaries in a 114-ball knock and found support at the crease from Jonathan Wigley (26) and Chris Calcott (21 not out).
Worfield took three wickets but could not remove Smith as Leamington cruised to victory in 36.1 overs.
Leamington are next in action against Old Hill on Saturday, July 25 with play to begin at 12pm(midday) at Arlington Avenue.
