BOXING: YOUNGSTER Sean Leahy lost out to West Warwickshire’s Dylan Nolan by a tight split decision in Coventry on Sunday.
The Fitzpatricks boxer put up a brave fight at the Triumph Club but was defeated by Nolan, with both fighters being congratulated for their efforts.
“When a split decision was announced both clubs were unsure which way it would go,” said coach Derek Fitzpatrick. But it was to be Nolan’s day.
“There were too many positives to be taken to be disheartened by the decision. Congratulations to Dylan on the decision and from this we won’t take a loss, but will take a lesson.”
