HOCKEY: WARWICK made a successful return to action in the new year with both the club’s fourth and fifth teams tasting success at the weekend.
A post Christmas friendly saw the fourth team run out 4-2 winners against Milton Keynes with John Sawdon bagging a brace. Kelvin Morris and Sam Brain were also on target as Warwick came out on top.
There was also joy for the fifth team too after they thumped Milton Keynes 6-1 following a destructive second half display.
The teams were all square at 1-1 at the break but Warwick came out of the blocks flying in the second half with Dave Bray, Will Astley, Josh Cooper, Luca Cadellino, Steve McCarty and Steve Lycett all getting on the scoresheet.
Warwick’s first team return to action this Saturday when they make the trip to Northampton Saints in the Midland League Division One.
