LEAMINGTON ended a run of three straight defeats on the road with a 1-1 draw against high-flying AFC Fylde.
The Brakes fell behind to Charlie Jolley’s early penalty only for Adam Walker to draw Leamington level at Mill Farm.
Fylde had Danny Mayor sent off late on as the Brakes secured their first away point in the league since August.
The result means Leamington sit 15th in the National League North table.
The initial fixture between the two teams ended in an abandonment due to areas of standing water on the Mill Farm pitch.
Fylde led last month’s initial game 4-0 at the time of the abandonment although the home side’s fourth goal owed much to the conditions.
The referee called the teams off the pitch after 56 minutes and decided to abandon the game as rain continued to fall.
The rearranged tie took place just over two weeks after the abandoned fixture.
And the home side broke the deadlock after just three minutes when Jolley scored from the penalty spot after Brakes goalkeeper Rogan Ravenhill fouled the Fylde man in the box.
However, the Brakes equalised on 38 minutes as Walker drove a shot into the bottom right corner after Zac Jones kept out Tim Berridge’s initial effort.
Fylde had Mayor sent off at the death following a clash with Ravenhill which also saw the Brakes goalkeeper shown a yellow card.
However, neither team could find a winner in the remaining minutes as the Brakes withstood plenty of pressure to secure a point.
Leamington are next in action against Scarborough Athletic on Saturday, October 11 with kick-off at 3pm at the Flamingo Land Stadium.
