LEAMINGTON have confirmed the signing of Dexter Walters some six years after the winger enjoyed a loan spell with the Brakes.
Walters returns to the Your Co-op Community Stadium on a permanent deal following a spell with Long Eaton United last season.
The 27-year-old previously played 12 games for Leamington on loan from Coventry City in the 2019/20 season.
Walters said: “I loved my time at Leam during my loan spell, and ever since then I’ve wanted to come back.
“It feels like the right time, especially with Scotty as manager.
“I’ve been looking forward to playing under him for a long time, so I’m excited to get started.”
Brakes boss, Scott Easterlow added: “Dex is a lad who knows this club well from his time here before, he’s another forward thinking player who will bring a spark at the top end of the pitch.
“His trickery and ability to take people on one-v-one will be an exciting watch for the fans.”
Walters began his career at Romulus before making the move to Tamworth and spending time on loan at Sutton Coldfield Town.
He joined then League One side Coventry as a teenager ahead of the 2018/19 season and made his debut for the Sky Blues in an EFL Trophy game against Forest Green Rovers.
Walters spent time on loan at Leamington the following campaign before returning to Tamworth on a permanent basis in 2020/21.
He spent time on loan at Mickleover before enjoying spells with Stratford Town, Stourbridge and Bedworth United.
Walters spent the 2025/26 season at Long Eaton where he scored eight goals in 38 games in the Northern Premier League Midlands.
