RACING Club Warwick surrendered a three-goal lead in a remarkable FA Cup clash against higher-division Evesham United with the tie to be decided by a replay.

Warwick stunned their Step Three opponents as Tyrell Skeen-Hamilton netted a brace and Kyle Barnett also struck to put the Racers three goals ahead after 37 minutes at Townsend Meadow.

However, Levi Steele responded before the break for the visitors and Andre Wright further reduced the deficit in the second period.

And Ioan Richards levelled the tie five minutes into injury time to deny Warwick a place in FA Cup third round qualifying for the first time in 30 years.

The Racers play one level below Evesham and looked on course to cause an upset after producing a stunning first-half display.

The home side broke the deadlock after just 10 minutes when Skeen-Hamilton pounced on a loose touch in the box to finish through the legs of Jenson Kilroy.

And Skeen-Hamilton struck again on 23 minutes as he blasted home from eight-yards out after Connor Taylor nodded the ball into the scorer’s path.

Warwick extended their lead on 37 minutes when Barnett headed in Cameron Ebbutt’s corner from the left from close range to leave the visitors stunned.

However, Evesham reduced the deficit four minutes before half time when Steele lashed a volley into the net from 12-yards out via the underside of the crossbar.

And the Robins struck again on 69 minutes as Wright flicked a corner from the right into the left corner of the goal at the near post.

The visitors pushed for an equaliser and levelled the game at the death as Richards headed a free-kick past Sam Lomax from six-yards out to take the tie to a replay.

Racing Club Warwick travel to Evesham in the replay on Tuesday, September 16 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium.
