FORMER Leamington director Brian Knibb has died following a long-standing illness.
Brian became a director at the club in 1991 and helped keep the club afloat by paying fees to Birmingham FA every year until he departed in 1997.
He returned as a director when Leamington resurrected and played a vital role in the Brakes successes in the early 2000s.
Brian stepped away from his tole again in 2007 but continued to support the Brakes and regularly visited the Your Co-Op Community Stadium until his health prevented him from doing so.
He also acted as a club ambassador in welcoming visiting directors to matches.
Leamington will communicate Brian’s funeral arrangements via club social media and the website.
