TENNIS: Warwick girls managed to get a selfie with Judy Murray on Saturday after attending the ‘she rallies’ course at David Lloyd Birmingham.
There were 24 places available and Coolsportz Warwick and Henley Tennis Club took a over a quarter of the spaces with seven girls attending.
All the girls train with Lianne on a Friday night at Warwick Tennis Club and have done for over six years. Lianne went on a course with Judy on Friday in Birmingham Town Centre and then attended with the girls on Saturday.
‘She rallies’ is a new initiative trying to get more girls into sport, with most girls dropping out of tennis around 14 years of age.
The girls had an amazing time and are hopefully it will be keep them playing tennis for many years.
The girls are aged 11-12 years and were Emma, Lucy, Megan, Isabelle, Maddie, Gabby and Maia. Gabby and Maia each got to demonstrate with Judy for over ten minutes during the course.
