CRICKET: KENILWORTH strolled to a ten-wicket victory over Highway in a 40 over friendly at Warwick Road on Saturday.

Visitors Highway batted first but were soon in trouble with seamer Ian Baker (2 for 32) striking early, with wickets falling at regular intervals.

Only Garry (38) and Ivory (17) were able to get into double figures as the visitors were bowled out for just 103 well inside their forty overs.

Wickets were shared around with young Freddie Davies taking 2 for 7, while Chris Prophet (2 for 6), Ed Ruswa (2 for 15) and Matt Bolshaw (1 for 15) also getting in on the act.

Kenilworth’s openers got their side off to a flying start, peppering the boundary ropes as Dave Edmunds hit 48 not out and Chris Prophet scored 50, which included seven fours as Kenilworth finished on 107 for 0 inside 16 overs.
