SKIING: KINGSLEY School’s Skiing team finished 19th out of 24 at the ESSKIA British Schools Dry Slope Slalom Ski Championships in Gloucester.

Hannah Dennison was the highest placed after finishing 32nd, while Emma Lawton put in an outstanding performance to finish 46th.

Emma was closely followed by newer team skiers Lucy Sainsbury, who was placed 72, and Lorenza Chapman (80th).

Alan Edwards, the school’s ski team manager, said: “This is a great achievement for the team who are all 12 years old and were competing against a much older field in every race.”
