RUGBY UNION: KENILWORTH Ladies coach Tim Burden hopes an increased focus on strength and conditioning can help his side succeed throughout their 2017/18 campaign.

With just a month left until the season kick starts, Kenilworth Ladies are already looking forward to the challenge ahead after earning promotion to the National Challenge Midlands Division One.

Aware of the challenges ahead, Burden has vowed to focus the club’s training around strength and conditioning while also keeping an eye on recruitment.

The team are looking to attract serious players that haven’t played rugby for some time and those looking to get active.

As part of the ongoing recruitment campaign – which falls amid the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Ireland – Kenilworth will be hosting an England led event aimed to introduce new people to the game.

Scheduled to take place on August 22, the event will focus on getting people involved in the game.

For further information about the club, email [email protected] or visit one of the club’s training sessions on a Tuesday or Wednesday night from 7pm.
