WOMEN in Leamington Spa are being urged to get involved with a new league starting in the area.
Leagues4you, who run similar initiatives across the West Midlands and UK-wide, are hoping to capitalise on the success of the Netball World Cup by encouraging new and old players to get on the court.
The new league will begin on Tuesday September 17, with the first session being treated as a refresher to get players up-to-scratch with the rules and shake off any rustiness playing the sport.
Matches will be played at North Leamington School every Tuesday evening, starting at 8pm.
Teams of groups of friends and family are encouraged, with a charge of £32 per match working out at less than £5 per player.
