LEAMINGTON Brakes moved to the top of the Evostick Premier Division table thanks to a comfortable 3-0 home victory over Slough Town.

Three first half goals sealed a seventh win in 11 matches for the Brakes on Tuesday night and they now sit one point ahead of second-placed Chippenham Town.

Jack Edwards opened the scoring for the home side on ten minutes before Ben Mackey added a second on 25 minutes and Edwards score his third and Leamington’s final goal of the game nine minutes before half-time.

The Brakes are next in action this Saturday when they visit Frome Town in the league. The club has also confirmed this week that the home fixture against Cambridge City has been re-scheduled for November 3 (7.45pm).

The original fixture on October 20 was postponed due to the need for the club to re-schedule the previously cancelled Birmingham Senior Cup tie against Bedworth United to that evening.

Admission prices have been reduced for the Birmingham Senior Cup tie at the Phillips 66 Community Stadium. Adults can attend for £7, concessions £4, students £3 and Under 18’s FREE.
