Leamington C&AC at halfway stage

Leamington Editorial 22nd Jun, 2018   0

LEAMINGTON C&AC are halfway through the summer season and are beginning to find out who is the fittest and fastest over 25 miles.

John Herring is quickest of the regular time-trial riders, being the winner on the last two events.

In the latest event, the club attracted a rider who has ridden for a number of women’s team, including the team of Dame Sarah Storey, a multiple paralympian medallist.

Lauren Creamer, riding for a Black Country team backed by Brothertons Cycles, chose to ride the event in preparation for an international race and completed the 25 miles in 55 minutes and 53 seconds

This beat Herring’s time by four minutes.

At Alcester, Chris and Steve Walker rode the Worcester St John’s CC event on their tandem, finishing second to a father-and-daughter pairing from Beacon RCC.

They completed the ten miles in 26 minutes and 11 seconds.
