FOOTBALL: A GLITTERING presentation night rounded off a memorable season for Leamington FC as players and staff celebrated the club’s promotion to the second tier of non-league football.
Held on Saturday (May 20) at the team’s clubhouse, the evening saw multiple awards handed out – starting with the Supporters Player of the Year.
Jamie Hood scooped the Supporters Player of the Year award while Players’ Play of the Year went to Connor Gudger.
Tony Breeden landed the Managers Player of the Year while Clubmen of the Year went to Leamington’s media team – spearheaded by Nick Leek and Scott Hanna.
Top Scorer was presented to Courtney Baker-Richardson, who scored 20 goals throughout the campaign – Baker-Richardson also took the Directors’ Player of the Year award.
Junior Clubman of the Year went to Becky Davies for her help on match days while most Man of the Match awards went to Richard Taundry.
Jack Edwards picked up Goal of the Season award for his long range strike against Cinderford Town in October.
In addition, shirts were also presented to players for significant milestones achieved throughout the season.
Richard Taundry, Connor Gudger and Jack Edwards were recognised for appearing in a Leamington shirt for the 100th time.
A special shirt was presented to Jamie Hood and Joe Magunda for 200 caps while James Mace was noted for appearing 250 times.
Paul Holleran also received another award for 400 games in charge following his presentation at Molineux
The evening was rounded off with flowers and wine that were presented to the clubs numerous volunteers, without which the club would not function.
