LEE Jackson produced the fastest time at Leamington Cycling and Athletic Club’s 25-mile Championship Time Trial last Wednesday.

The route for this year’s event had to be changed after falling victim of unplanned traffic lights on Chesterton Hill. The route included three laps of roads around Harbury Bishops Itchington which resulted in approximately 12 race miles.

Jackson was the quickest home in 31 minutes and 16 seconds, finishing over a minute and-a-half ahead of second-placed John Pitman (32.52) and another two-and-a-half minutes over Ralph Anstis in third.

Jade Boggia was quickest woman, riding the distance in 38.21, almost two minutes ahead of Anouk Molliex (40.12), while Helen Howells took third sport in 47.26.

Recent recruit Dom Priest is proving to be a quick youngster after taking fifth spot amongst the men while at the other end of the age-range Dan Gulliver is still impressing everyone well into his 70s, completing the three laps in 39.31 to finish eighth.

Results: Lee Jackson (31.16), John Pitman (32.52), Ralph Anstis (35.20), Eoin O’Flynn (36.13), Dom Priest (37.29), Paul Harper (37.29), Jade Boggia (38.21), Dan Gulliver (39.31), Anouk Molliex (40.12), Steve Walker (41.00), Roger Gardner (42.27), Helen Howells (47.26).
