KENILWORTH’s Matt Clinton was the fastest rider home at Rugby Road Cycling Club’s 25-mile time trial event last Wednesday.

Perfect conditions met the 44 participants with 20 riders posting sub one-hour rides and there were also several personal best times recorded too.

Clinton was fastest rider on the night after finishing in 50 minutes and 13 seconds, with David Kiernan finishing runner-up in 51.33 and Rugby’s Craig McKee was third in 51.49 as he added 40 points to his collection.

The handicap race was won by Jason Baggett in 44.44 and he was closely followed by 17-year-old Ellis Pullinger who is challenging Ben Akinson for Rugby’s best junior rider after crossing the finish line in 59.43.
