Leamington Editorial 28th Apr, 2018   0

THE NEW season moves into top gear next weekend as Norton Lindsey & Wolverton begin their Cotswold Hills League campaign.

With the Firsts pushing once again for Premier League honours, the promoted Seconds in Division Two, and the fledgling third team beginning their second season, the club will be playing challenging cricket at all levels.

A full fixture list of midweek and Sunday games have also been arranged and the junior section are breaking new ground with a team entered into the U13 Cotswold League.

Senior club practice is held on Tuesday evenings with the two artificial practice nets entering their first full season of use.

Friday night is set aside for juniors with coaching offered to youngsters in Year Two and above from 6.30pm to 8pm.

The committee have arranged for Complete Cricket ECB coaches to lead the sessions this year to ensure comprehensive and structured tuition.

Registration night will be next Friday at 7pm, with coaching sessions running from May 11 to July 13.

Once again subs will be £60 a child, £40 for siblings, with both boys and girls welcome.

Volunteers to help the sessions run smoothly are welcome.
