FOOTBALL: PAUL Holleran has bolstered his attacking options after drafting in winger Callum Powell from Wrexham as Brakes prepare for another tough month of fixtures in the Southern League Premier Division.

The 21-year-old began his career at Northampton Town before spending time in Vancouver on a scholarship programme at the Simon Fraser University.

Coventry-born Powell linked up with Rugby Town on his return to England and scored nine goals in over 40 appearances during the 2015/16 season.

His form caught the eye of then Wrexham boss Gary Mills who signed Powell on a one-year deal with the National League club last summer.

He has made 24 appearances for the first team so far this season, scoring twice on his first start for the club in a 2-2 draw at Maidstone United.

Powell made his debut for Leamington after being named in Holleran’s starting 11 for Saturday’s trip to King’s Lynn.
